As a downtown resident I received a letter with this news:
There will be a "study session" at the Santa Cruz City Council and Downtown commission pertaining to the construction of a new downtown parking garage this coming Tuesday May 6th, at 2pm at the City council chambers, City Hall.
Basically they want to build a 5 story high parking garage on parking lot #4 which is the Cathcart/Cedar parking lot where the farmers market is held on Wednesdays.
Hopefully lots of us can be there at 2pm to understand and know all the motivations for this.
